SCADA Control Function

The operators or software apps trigger control functions automatically and directly influence the functioning of the power system. It can be split into four subclasses. Custom user interface that represents the direct interface open / close for one system.

Control messages for the control systems requesting operations to automatically be performed by the local logic on the computer after the control room has been started, To ensure that operations are within specified limits. Raise or lower tap changer taps are typical examples or send out new points of power generation.

Sequential control includes the automated completion of a linked control set after initiating the start of the sequence order. A number of sequential steps to power restore that predetermined backup configuration characterize the sequential control.

An occurrence or defined time triggering the control action activates automatic control. A common example is automatic voltage regulation by change of load tap that automatically reacts to the voltage point violation. The condenser banks swapped time are another one. The first three control groups above are manually activated, with the exception of the automatic sequential control. The control actions performed manually can be either on a specified pre-operated
approval basis or on a direct order
